The Ushers Union of Danville & Vicinity will meet at Loyal Baptist Church on Nov. 4 with repast at 6 p.m. and meeting at 7 p.m.

MEN’S DAY SERVICE

Macedonia Baptist Church will hold its men’s day service at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 with guest speaker the Rev. James Perkins accompanied by his church family from The True Vine Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. The men of the church will prepare a meal which will be served following morning service.

ANNIVERSARIES

White Rock Missionary Baptist Church, Ringgold, will celebrate the 27th pastoral anniversary of the Rev. Curtis J. Strader Sr. and first lady Jean B. Strader at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Voight Hairston and High Street Baptist Church congregation will be guests. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m.

St. James Baptist Church, 536 Cleveland St., will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Wayne Williamson, at 3 p.m. Sunday with guests the Rev. James Royster and Evangel Temple congregation.

Mount Freeman Baptist Church, 2100 Laniers Mill Road, will celebrate its 150th church anniversary and homecoming at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with guest the Rev. MacArthur Myers, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Chatham, accompanied by his church family. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. in the lower fellowship hall.

Camp Grove Baptist Church will celebrate its 122nd church anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Everett Dickerson, associate minister of North New Hope Baptist Church.

The music ministry of Greater Brandon Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday.

ANNUAL DAY

Calvary Baptist Church, 218 Holbrook St., Board of Trustees will celebrate their annual day on Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service. The messenger for the day will be attorney Torrey Dixon, assistant attorney general for the North Carolina Department of Justice. A native Danvillian, Dixon successfully petitioned the Danville City Council in naming of the Martin Luther King Memorial Bridge.

GUEST SPEAKERS

Bishop Samuel Dixon, from Faith in God, will be the guest preacher at Mount Olivet Apostolic Church in Martinsville at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Sunny Level Baptist Church, 485 Milton Highway, Ringgold, will have the Rev. Gina Williams, associate minister of Bennett Memorial Baptist Church in Danville, as guest preacher for the 11:30 a.m. Sunday service.

REVIVAL

Cherrystone Baptist Association Youth Revival will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 to 14 at The Cherrystone Center with the Rev. Jermaine Parker, of The Smith Chapel Baptist Church, as speaker each night.
