ANNIVERSARIES

Faith in God Church, 1748 Richmond Blvd., will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of Bishop Samuel Dixon at 3 p.m. Sunday with guest preacher the Rev. Jonathan King, of Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church.

North New Hope Baptist Church, 123 Old Piney Forest Road, will celebrate deacon and deaconess anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. William S. Wilson Jr., former pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, will be the messenger, accompanied by his church family from Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, of Mebane, North Carolina.

Bennett Memorial Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the 14th pastoral anniversary of the Rev. Clarence Hairston Jr. at 3 p.m. Sunday with special guest Bishop Harry L. Cohen and New Covenant Church family of Burlington, North Carolina, and Saint Moriah United Holy Church family, of Reidsville, North Carolina. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m.

Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 2232 North Main St., will celebrate its missionary ministry anniversary at 2 p.m. Sunday with a theme “Talent Showcase-Praising God with Talents.”

Mount Airy Baptist Church, 605 Edmunds Road, Gretna, will celebrate the anniversary of its usher board/nurse’s unit at 3 p.m Sunday. The Callands/Stone Family and Mosely Heights Community Chorus of Altavista will be in concert.

River Zion Baptist Church, 5637 Blanch Road, Blanch, North Carolina, will celebrate its usher’s ministry anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Benjamin Morrow and the Jeffries Cross Baptist Church family as guests.

Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its pastor’s first anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Antonio Fitzgerald as guest preacher, accompanied by the Remnant Church of Power congregation. The 3 p.m. speaker will be the Rev. Antonel Myler, of Shockoe Baptist Church, accompanied by church family. Lunch will be served following morning worship.

A Signs of the Times Seminar presented by brother Jimmie Myers sponsored by the Bible Speaks Ministry will be held at the Stratford Conference Center, 149 Piney Forest Road, Sunday through Aug. 9. BUILDING FUND RALLY

Watson Level Missionary Baptist Church, 2900 Toshes Road, Chatham, will hold its building fund “Shoe Rally” service entitled “Work in Progress” at 3 p.m. Sunday with guest preacher the Rev. Obadele St. George and the Cain’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church choir from Hillsborough, North Carolina.

REVIVAL

Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Semora, North Carolina, will hold revival services at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday with the Rev. Louis Cash of Greater Cleggs Chapel Church, of Timberlake, North Carolina, with music by various choirs.

COMMUNITY DAY

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Ringgold, will hold a community fun day from 1 to 6 p.m. today in celebration of its 150th anniversary.

PROGRAMS

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Ringgold, will hold a service at 3 p.m. Sunday to benefit the men’s ministry of the Lott Carey Foreign Missions. The service is sponsored by deacon Freddie Anderson.

Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church will hold its Lott Carey program at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 4 with Annie P. Wimbish as guest speaker.

SPECIAL EVENT

East New Hope Baptist Church, 321 Airport Drive, will hold Feeding the Children of Danville and Vicinity by ENH Community Development from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 3 at the church.
