Support for parimutuel wagering
To the editor:
I’m from the Triangle Area of North Carolina and enjoy recreational gaming and horse racing. Unfortunately, my home state does not have any convenient opportunities for me to enjoy these entertainments, nor does the neighboring state to the south.
Until recently, my only real option was to travel to Kentucky. In light of that, I was pleased to hear that Virginia was re-opening Colonial Downs along with several Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums around the state. I am excited about the possibility of a Rosie’s being located just across the Virginia/North Carolina border.
I am a millennial. My friends and I are always looking for fun new things to do and experiences to try. We could certainly hop in a car and come up to Danville to patronize a Rosie’s. While there, we would certainly explore what else your community has to offer. I can’t vote in Danville, but I certainly hope residents there will put out the welcome sign to tourists from surrounding states and vote in favor of parimutuel wagering.
A good doctor in town
To the editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to commend Dr. Keith Robinson and his staff at Complexions Dermatology for their exemplary service.
I have been a patient of Dr. Robinson for the past several years and the level of care and service I have received has been outstanding.
The staff is welcoming from the moment you step in the door and they exude professionalism throughout each and every visit.
I have every confidence in Dr. Robinson’s capabilities and feel at ease in his care. Danville is blessed to have such a wonderful office of skincare professionals right here in our own city.
