Thelma Holley Stowe, age 100, of Dry Fork, Virginia, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 19, 2019. She was born on January 29, 1919, to the late Cabel Holley and the late Cora Grant Holley. She was an active member of Whitmell United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities as long as she was able. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff McClelland Stowe, three brothers, and three sisters. She was the last of her generation. Mrs. Stowe is survived by her daughter, Jewel S. Saunders (Wayne) of Dry Fork, Va.; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Saunders (Dana), Amy Miller (Tripp), and Jennifer Thompson (Patrick) as well as seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, Va. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, from 1 until 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Wayne Moore. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park, in Danville, Va.
