David Lee Scoggins, of Dry Fork, Virginia, passed away in his house on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the age of 81. He was born on March 26, 1938, to the late Lizzie Mae Mullis Scoggins and the late Carl Lee Scoggins in Chickamauga, Georgia. David is survived by his daughters, Cindy Flanigan (Mike) and Darlene Holcomb (Paul); his son, Michael Scoggins; his sisters, Elizabeth Beaird and Martha Spurling; his brother, Benny Hunter (Ann); his grandchildren, David Holcomb, Jonathan Holcomb, Amy Lanter, and Heather DeHart; his great-grandchildren, Jason Holcomb, Shawn Holcomb, Andy Lanter, Abby Lanter, Kaylee DeHart; and his great-great-granddaughter, Lilly Holcomb. He is predeceased by his wife, Wanda Faye Hutson Scoggins. A funeral service will be held at Norris Funeral Services' West End Chapel on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Flanigan and Pastor James Albert presiding. A visitation will be held on the prior day from 6 to 8 p.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt.
