CHATHAM, Va. Frances Pauline Adkins Reynolds, age 92, of Chatham, Va., entered into rest on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on January 3, 1927, in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Joe Henry Adkins and the late Lelia Oakes Adkins. She was an active member of Hollywood Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, working jigsaw puzzles, searching out items for her various collections, tending her flower garden, and was an avid reader. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Steve) Reynolds; two sons, Ryland (Brenda) Reynolds and Richard (Susan) Reynolds; six grandchildren, Billy Reynolds, Alan (Angela) Reynolds, Stephanie (Larry) Weiss, Todd Reynolds, Paula (Chad) Pierce, and Kenneth (Kellie) Reynolds; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Polly Adkins; a sister-in-law, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Reynolds; numerous nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend, Ruth Aaron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at Hollywood Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry C. St. John and Pastor Tim Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery on Sago Rd. in Franklin County. The family will receive friends at Hollywood Baptist Church on Monday, November 18, 2019, from 7 to 8 p.m. and at other times will be at the residence, 2753 Burton Lake Rd., Chatham, Va. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
