Roland E. Pritchett was reunited with his wife, Naomi B. Pritchett, who was the love of his life, on Friday morning, July 19, 2019. He was born May 22, 1929, in Danville, Va., to the late Annie Powell Pritchett and the late Roland Hill Pritchett. Mr. Pritchett was a member of Mt. Olivet UMC and before his retirement he worked as a mechanic for Goodyear. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister and six brothers. He is survived by two daughters, Betty P. Clardy of Axton, Va., and Denise P Hearp of Dry Fork, Va.; a son, Ricky E. Pritchett of Providence, N.C.; as well as seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Roy Pritchett. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541 with the Rev. J.B. Baldridge officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel prior to the funeral service, from 1 until 2 p.m., also on Sunday, July 21, 2019. At other times the family will be at the home of his son, Ricky, at 4852 Walters Mill Road, Providence, NC.
