Judith Oakes Moser, 82, of 1801 Fall Creek Drive, Danville, Va., died on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Roman Eagle Memorial Home after a decline in her health for the past seven months. Born in Pittsylvania County, Va., on January 6, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Ryland Shields Oakes Sr. and Mary Fowlkes Oakes. Mrs. Moser lived her life in the Danville area. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and her friends. She attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church. On May 8, 1954, she married Roger Fred Moser, he died on December 4, 2016. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Ryland Oakes Jr. and a sister, Mary Sue McBride. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Powell (Kenny) of Danville, Va.; two sons, Dwayne Moser (Tammy) of Danville, Va., and Shane Moser (Kendra) of Sutherlin, Va.; four grandchildren, Jared Moser (Sarah) of Danville, Va., Ashley Lumpkins (Pete) of St. Augustine, Fla., Peyton Powell and Kelly Powell, both of Richmond, Va.; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November, 19, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Reverend Myron Bruce officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the funeral home from 12 until 1:45 p.m. and at other times at the residence of Teresa and Kenny Powell, 2040 Carter Street, Danville, Va.
