Eula Mae Nunn Evans, 93, of the Vandola Community departed this life on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Roman Eagle Health & Rehabilitation after a decline in health for the past year. Eula was born in Danville, Va., on June 19, 1926, a daughter of the late John William Nunn and Alma Mays Nunn. Eula worked as a homemaker and was a member of Vandola Baptist Church. On June 19, 1926, she married, Charles Henry Evans Sr., who died on April 15, 1980. Survivors include her four children, Charles Evans Jr. (Patricia), Vickie E. Moss (Glenn), Joe Evans (Wanda), Larry Evans (Bonnie); seven grandchildren, Scott Moss (Hope), Elizabeth Ware (D.) Courtney Cramer (Kenny), Brent Evans, Tyler Evans (Stacey), Jordan Evans, Alexis Evans, Latoshia Leigh, Dustin Mullins; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband a grandson, Douglas Wayne, three brothers and four sisters, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Vandola Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Scott Bortz and Mr. Glen Hudson. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel and at other times at Joe and Wanda Evans residence, 115 Longview Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Bachelors Hall Fire Dept. or to Vandola Baptist Church elevator fund.
