Galine Elizabeth Wilson Davis, 82, of 213 Ethel Court, Danville, Va., went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Sovah Health. Mrs. Davis was born on July 23, 1937, daughter of the late Aaron Lloyd Wilson and Eva Hill Wilson. She spent all of her life in the Danville area where she was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Sandy Shores Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will missed by all that knew her. On July 31, 1959, she married Young Steele Davis Jr. who survives of the residence. In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by her children, Terri Earp and husband, Wes, of Alton, Va., Mark Davis and wife, Susan, of Danville, Va. and Betty Tate and husband, Mike, of Ringgold, Va.; grandsons, Michael Davis, Tyler Hall and wife, Jordan, Joshua Tate and Elijah Tate; sisters, Opal Pope and husband, Bobby, of Eden, N.C. and Margaret McGehee of Eden, N.C.; brother-in-law, Lewis Sisson of Greenville, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 3 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Rev. Billy Scearce Sr. and the Rev. Eric Clark officiating. Interment will follow the service in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence, 213 Ethel Court, Danville, VA 24541.
