Connie Freeman Dalton, 63, of 2240 Birch Creek Rd., Keeling, Va., died on Friday, September 6, 2019, at the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, N.C., after a decline in health for the past six months. Mrs. Dalton was born on April 23, 1956, in Danville, Va., a daughter of the late Milford Vernon Freeman Sr. and the late Ellen Alene Moorefield Freeman. She lived all of her life in the Danville area where she worked for Elliott's Cleaners. She was an active member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church for over thirty years. In her spare time, she loved to scrapbook, and loved spending time with her grandkids and grandpup. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Avery Dalton Sr.; a son, Pastor Avery Dalton Jr. (Amy); two daughters, Marie Pickrel (Mark), and Ashley Smith (Brad); nine grandchildren, Malachi, Hannah, Priscilla, Micah, Jordan, Josiah, Lucas, Shiloh, and Noelle; a grandpup, Abby; and a brother, Milford Vernon "Fred" Freeman Jr. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 9, 2019, at 4 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel with the Rev. Mike Myers and the Rev. Avery Dalton Jr. officiating. Interment will follow the service in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday and at other times will be at the residence.
