Floyd Taylor Bryant, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at the age of 79. He was born on December 9, 1939, to the late Mary Elizabeth Lumpkins and the late William O. Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Moss Bryant. Floyd was a member of White Oak Worship Center, a member of the Improved Order of Red Men, Poquoson Tribe #124, and a member of the Degree of Pocahontas, Wynette Counsel #22. He enjoyed playing rook and fishing, and he was a delivery truck driver for Dan Valley Wholesale Florist. Floyd is survived by his stepsons, Jerry D. Smith, Tommy J. Smith (Laurie), and Timmy L. Smith (Michelle); his special step granddaughter, Kathy Detweiler (Phil), his eight step grandchildren, and his seven step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepson, Terry S. Smith; his sister, Suzanne B. Gurley; and his brother, Robert L. Bryant. A memorial service will be held at Norris Funeral Services West End Chapel on Monday, December 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Roger Ewing and Pastor Cabell Cobbs presiding.
