A 26-year-old Greensboro woman died Sunday after she was found shot and the car she was driving crashed into a fence, Greensboro police said in a news release.
Carolyn Rose Tiger was taken to a local hospital where she later died, police said. Two other people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries from the crash.
At about 4:30 p.m., officers were responded to the intersection of Patton Avenue and South Elm-Eugene Street on a report of shots being fired in the area. They found a vehicle that had crashed into the fence in the area of Elm-Eugene and Concord Street.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide. This is the city’s eighth homicide this year.
