Danville authorities are searching for a suspect in a Wednesday night robbery of  Juniors Convenience Market on 2980 W. Main St.

10:35 A.M. UPDATE: Danville police have arrested a suspect in Wednesday night's robbery of Juniors Convenience Market.

Danville police announced Friday morning they had charged 19-year-old Luis Eurricue Torres, of Eden, with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and wearing a mask in public.

The suspect is being held in Danville City Jail under no bond.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police are looking for a suspect behind the armed robbery of a Danville convenience store Wednesday night.

A man wearing a camouflage face mask, dark-colored shirt and dark- colored pants robbed Juniors Convenience Market on 2980 W. Main St. at 9:15 p.m.

Police reported he brandished a silver-colored handgun. No one was harmed during the robbery.

Police believe this robbery may be connected to a similar one that occurred the same day in Rockingham County, North Carolina. The Danville Police Department is working alongside the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office to investigate both incidents.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous by police.
