Mary Elizabeth Parker was the one who found missing 9-year-old Andrew Garr Yarboro in November after a trek through the woods. On Friday, she was the one who is missing, police reported Friday.

On Friday, the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office was searching for Parker, 41, after she left her home Thursday and did not return. The office reported she left to run an errand in her gold 2002 Pontiac Aztek.

She was located Friday afternoon in Bedford, police reported.

Parker was one of the volunteers who signed up to look for Andrew Yarboro when he disappeared in November, authorities confirmed. She recounted finding footprints in the mud by a creek in Chatham, which led her to the missing boy, she told the Danville Register & Bee in November.
