After gaining information about his location on Wednesday night, Danville police report arresting suspect Rakim La’Tae Knight at a city residence without incident.

Knight, 29, of Danville, is now being held at the Danville City Jail without bond on a charge of willfully discharging a firearm in a public place that resulted in harm, and a charge of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, police report.

This arrest is in connection with a fatal shooting that happened Aug. 2. Officers rushed to the 200 block of Parker Road to find Kymon Haley, 21, lying outside with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the emergency room by ambulance and pronounced dead a short while later.
