Authorities have charged an 18-year-old in Tuesday night's deadly shooting in Danville.
Traquon L. Allen, 18, of Danville, faces charges of second-degree murder and use of firearm in commission of a felony in the shooting death of Xavier N. Carson, 19, Danville police report.
As of early Wednesday morning, Allen was in custody in North Carolina pending extradition back to Virginia.
Carson was shot at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Cardinal Village apartments, authorities report. He was taken to Sovah Health-Danville where he later died.
The investigation is ongoing.
