Hundreds of people flocked to the Danville Children’s Festival on Saturday for the rides, face painting, games and crafts. Hosted at the Carrington Pavilion, the festival ran from 10 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, and it was packed as early as 10:30. The venue’s grounds were crowded with stands — offering games of cornhole, Legos and large bumper balls, allowing kids to crash into each other without fear of injury. The whole event was free for attendees, who circled the grounds with children of all ages in search of a fun, free day in the sun.
