Eleven-year-old Rayce Russell and sister Lily Russell, 5, both from Pelham, North Carolina, enjoy some fun time at the Danville Science Center on Wednesday afternoon. They raced Lego race cars down a steep race car track, played on a life-size board game in which they went through the life cycle of turtles in their habitat and watched a turtle’s-eye-view video. Their grandmother, Teri Newnam, brought Lily to the Science Center to pick up Rayce, who had attended a science fair at the facility. “She wanted to stay,” Newnam said. “Anything to get them out of the house.”
