A 35-year-old Danville man is facing multiple charges following a shooting incident late Thursday night, authorities report.
It was shortly before midnight Thursday when Danville Police Department officers responded to the 200 block area of Northmont Boulevard for a call of shots fired.
When officers got there, they talked to a 32-year-old man and his 31-year-old sister “who reported that they had an argument with the sister’s boyfriend,” police report.
Police report the suspect shot at the pair from a vehicle and then drove off. No one was hit by gunfire or injured.
Police identified the suspect as George Lee Hairston III, 35, of Danville.
An officer saw the suspect’s vehicle and tried to stop it, police report, but the driver instead eventually stopped at his home in the 200 block of Belaire Drive. After running inside for what police describe as a “short period,” he came out and was taken into custody.
Hairston is charged with felony elude police, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and obstruction of justice.
He is being held in the Danville City Jail without bond.
