A man suffered non-life threatening injuries in an early Wednesday morning shooting in Blairs, the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office reports.

When deputies arrived in the 1000 block of Lawless Creek Road in Blairs around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, they found a man who had been shot, according to a news release. The man, who police did not identify, was airlifted to Carilion Memorial Hospital in Roanoke to receive treatment for his injuries, which authorities report are not life threatening.

Authorities also found an empty vehicle and an occupied mobile home that had been shot. No one else was injured, authorities report.

The suspects, who at this time are unknown, fled the scene before the deputies arrived.
