Maps propped on easels displayed some of the ideas Danville Parks & Recreation hopes to include in its master plan for Riverwalk Trail during a public input meeting held in the Pepsi Building on Craghead Street on Friday. Curtis Durant, an associate with Newport News-based firm Durant McGill, walked people through the display, which was open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. About 25 to 30 people had walked through by 6 p.m. The master plan will focus on creating different ways to connect the community to Riverwalk, potentially expanding its reach away from the water with bike routes, sidewalks or multimodal pathways stemming from the trail along the river.
