CELEBRATE SERVICE

South Side Region Celebration “Celebrate,” a group of more than 50 active members from 26 different area churches, will gather for a program at 6:20 p.m. Sunday at Hargrave Military Academy, 200 Military Drive, Chatham.



ADOPT A CHILD FUNDRAISER

New Direction Worship Center, 410 Ross St., will have its quarterly fundraiser at 2 p.m. Sunday featuring a theme of “Adopt a Child” with guest speaker the Rev. Tison Garnett, of Elam Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, the granddaughter of elder Ruby Thompson, chairperson of the fundraising committee.

QUARTET TO SING

Emmanuel Church of the Brethren, 1530 Westover Drive, will have the “Simply Noteable” quarter at 11 a.m. Oct. 6. They are part of the North Carolina Triad area “Sweet Adelines” International.

HOMECOMING SERVICES

Brush Arbor Baptist Church, 1643 Blair Loop Road, will hold homecoming services Oct. 6 with Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by worship service at 11 a.m. Lunch and afternoon service to follow.

Stokesland Baptist Church, will celebrate its 145th homecoming celebration at 11 a.m. Sunday with lunch to follow in the fellowship hall.

COMMUNITY HEALTH, WELLNESS AND INFORMATIONAL FAIR

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 13602 Martinsville Highway, Cascade, will hold a Community Health, Wellness and Informational Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with vendors available.
