Mark Jones, Pittsylvania County Schools superintendent , spoke to Riverview Rotary on Sept. 26.

Pittsylvania County has 21 schools with 8,700 students.

Those schools include the stem academy for grades five through seven to learn about science and math, the career and technology Center for grade s11-12, GO Tech for middle school students’ career exploration, Discovery for grades 11-12, Governor’s School, other special programs as well as traditional schools.

The 2019 graduating classes had 670 graduates, 274 of these were honor graduates.
