Danville Community College workforce service division provided professional development activities for the Virginia Department of Corrections Green Rock Correctional Center faculty and staff on May 2. Green Rock faculty and staff were provided as part of their in-service activities a tour led by Josh Worthley, DCC metrology tnstructor, of the Hill building (graphic imaging and air conditioning and refrigeration); EIT building (automotive analysis and repair, metrology/dimensional inspection and precision machine technology) and the welding building. The collaboration between Green Rock and DCC is in conjunction with the Second Chance Pell program and continuing efforts to provide incarcerated students information on career and technical college credit programs available to inmates while they are incarcerated and educational opportunities upon their release.
