Special to the Register & Bee

On Thursday, the 2019 class of Middle Border Forward Fellows launched Middle Border Explorer, an app-based regional scavenger hunt inviting participants to visit different sites throughout the city of Danville, Pittsylvania County and Caswell County, North Carolina.

Participants who complete the scavenger hunt before Sept. 16 will have the opportunity to win cash prizes.

The Middle Border Explorer scavenger hunt highlights 16 free locations throughout the region, including parks, museums, historical sites and other places of interest. Using the ActionBound mobile app, participants will gain points by visiting different sites. After a participant successfully visits 10 sites and submits their results, they will be entered into a drawing to win one of seven cash prizes. A $100 prize will be awarded each week of the competition.

Additionally, a grand prize of $600 will be announced after the end of the competition Sept. 19.

Participants can download the Action Bound mobile app for free.
