The damage caused by a Saturday night fire at 121 Blair Place completely destroyed the home and killed one resident. On Sunday, one could see straight through the house into the backyard, where a firefighter was taking a quick break from stabilizing the house so it could be inspected to determine the cause of the fire.

Danville Fire Marshal Shelby Irving’s eyes were tired and sad Sunday morning as she surveyed the damage done in a Saturday night fire at 121 Blairs Place, in the Starmont Forest neighborhood of North Danville.
It is going to be difficult to determine a cause of the fire, Irving said, because the damage is so extensive.
