Danville Crews battle 4-hour fire at plant

Outside blaze threatens manufacturing facility, but fire kept outside

It took nearly four hours for firefighters to bring a blaze under control that damaged a large quantity of “finished goods” Friday morning at Blue Ridge Fiberboard.

The Danville Fire Department responded a call at about 8:30 a.m. reporting a “reported outside fire threatening the manufacturing plant” at 250 Celotex Drive, according to a news release.
