Timothy Peters is back behind the wheel. The Providence, N.C., native finished 25th in Friday night’s Craftsman Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte. Peters qualified 16th for the race.

Peters is driving for Premier Racing, a Danville-based team co-owned by Philip Hudgins, Scot Jones and Steve Stallings. Peters will also have an equity position in the team. Peters piloted the No. 17 Hayes Metal and Iron Recycling/Tahoe Smokeless Tobacco Dodge to a 19th-place finish at Martinsville in late March.

The team will run a limited schedule of 8-10 races this season and intends on running a full schedule in 2009.

Including Friday night, Peters has 37 career starts in the Craftsman Truck Series with four top-10s.
