Kingsport holds off D-Braves in 10 innings

KINGSPORT, Tenn — After allowing Danville to tie the game in the ninth, Kingsport scored in the 10th to pull out a 2-1 win over the Braves on Sunday.
The Mets got gack-to-back singles with one out in the 10th. After a lineout to second base for the second out, Danville elected to intentionally walk Wilmer Flores. The most didn’t work out.
Jean Luc Blaquiere hit a game-winning single to left field, scoring Imbewer Alvarez from third.
The Mets took two out of three games from the D-Braves, and Danville has dropped four of its last five games

Kingsport led 1-0 after Flores tripled and later scored on a wild pitch.
Danville tied the game in the ninth when Jon Gilmore scored on Chais Fuller’s single. Fuller was thrown out going to second to end the inning.
Adam Bullard took the loss for Danville, which got a pair of hits from Gilmore and Mathew Kennelly.
Danville is off today before opening a three-game home series with Bluefield on Tuesday.
