CHATHAM — Altavista defeated Chatham 32-15 in a Dogwood District game on Friday night, with both of the Cavaliers’ touchdowns coming in the second half.
Cam McClellan rushed for a team-leading 73 yards on 11 carries for Chatham (1-5, 0-2 Dogwood), which entered the half trailing 19-0.
Buzz Keel completed 10-of-17 passes for 58 yards and a touchdown to Chris Harbin, who caught five passes for 34 yards and the score. Keel also rushed for 33 yards. Raunta Price rushed for 36 yards and scored Chatham’s other touchdown.
Keel led the Cavaliers defensively with 13 tackles and an interception and Dominique Foreman had seven tackles and blocked two extra points.
