GW sweeps tournament

Jasmine Hairston scored 18 points, including the winning free throws, to lead George Washington (3-0) to a 48-46 victory over Carlisle (1-2) on Saturday in the final day of the GW Pepsi Classic.

Tia Chatten scored 12 points and Mesha Douglas added seven points for the Eagles. Janika Hunt led the way for Carlisle with 18 points.

BY finishes in third in Classic
Isley Hawley scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Bartlett Yancey (1-1) to a 59-52 victory over Northern Vance on Saturday in the third-place game of the Courier Times Thanksgiving Classic.

Breanna Graves added seven points and nine rebounds, while Bria Wilson scored eight points for the Bucs.
