Tunstall eases its way past Gretna
DRY FORK — Tunstall defeated Gretna 25-14, 25-17, 25-11 on Tuesday.
Morgan Distad had 12 points, six aces and 12 assists for Tunstall (13-1, 3-0), while Taylor Hite added nine points, six aces and six kills, Catelyn Stephens had seven points, six aces and eight kills and Jenna Rudder had 14 digs.
Tunstall’s JV won 25-15, 25-16. Corbin Holder had eight points and five aces, Kendall Bowling had five points and three aces and Alex Seamster had four points and three aces for Tunstall (11-3).
The Trojans visit Patrick County on Thursday.

Chatham wins Dogwood match over Dan River
CHATHAM — Chatham defeated Dan River 25-18, 25-16 and 25-13 on Tuesday.
Leah Easley had 24 assists, three kills and two aces to lead Chatham (9-5, 5-2 Dogwood). Paige Aaron added six kills, two aces and three digs, while Shayna Keen chipped in 11 kills and 10 digs.
In junior varsity action, Chatham won again, winning 25-15 and 25-21. Brianna Hess had 10 points, four aces and three assists, while Chloe Clarridge added eight points, six aces and three kills.

Bartlett Yancey sets school record in win
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Bartlett Yancey set a school record for wins in a season after crushing Northern Guilford 7-2 on Tuesday.
The win moves BY to 12-2 on the year, including a 10-2 mark in Triad Conference play.
Buccaneers wins included Juliana White defeating Madison Duke 10-6, Taylor Brandon beating Brianne Posttmayr 10-5, Kristen Thomas besting Victoria Pray 11-9, Elizabeth Eastep prevailing against Brie Welch 10-3 and Memorie Oldham routing Abby Wilcox 10-2. Northern Guilford’s singles win came with Stephanie Wardman defeating Rebecca Denny 10-2.
In doubles action, the duo of White/Brandon defeated Duke/Megan Jaekle 9-7 and Thomas/Eastep beat Pray/Wardman 8-6. BY’s team of Denny/Amanda Butts lost to Shelby Anderson/Emily Rosendale 6-8.
