Tigers flood All-VIC team

Six Hargrave Tigers were named to the All-VIC first team on Thursday, while Hargrave coach Scott Roach took home Coach of the Year honors.

Making the first team were: Cameron Giannini, Zach Goodyear, Ryne Farmer, Brian Sigmon, Michael Rodriguez and James Martin. Hargrave’s Hunter Hoshiko made the VIC’s second team, as did Westover Christian Academy’s Dan Thompson.

Eagles top Glass for first time in six years

LYNCHBURG — With goals coming from Jacob Russell and Evan Mobley, the GW Eagles beat E.C. Glass for the first time in six years on Thursday, winning 2-1.

Carter Bauman assisted on both goals, while Joseph Campbell made 12 saves in net for the Eagles (10-4, 6-4).

The GW junior varsity team was not as fortunate, however, as they fell to Glass 5-0.

Both Eagles teams will be back in action today, when they travel to take on Bassett.
