Averett easily defeats Mary Baldwin
DANVILLE — Karen Endresen scored five goals and Averett University easily dismantled Mary Baldwin 7-0 on Saturday.
The Cougars (6-1, 2-0 USA South) scored five goals in the first half, four of those from Endresen. Meghan Cole and Kristen McCartney scored the other Averett goals.
Samantha Lupo and Alicia McSweeney combined on the shutout.

Averett falls to N.C. Wesleyan and CNU
NEWPORT NEWS — Averett dropped two USA South conference matches on Saturday, falling to N.C. Wesleyan 3-1 and Christopher Newport 3-0.
Jordan Maupin led the Cougars (5-13, 4-4 USA South) in the first game with 16 kills. Brittany Moore added 12 digs and 10 kills, while Meredith Schwane had 25 digs.
Against Christopher Newport, Schwane finished with 15 digs.
