WINCHESTER — The top four seeds in singles play won their matches and Averett got victories out of two doubles teams as the Cougars won their regular season finale 7-2 over Shenandoah.
The duo of Marcelo Diaz and Xavier Ruiz and the team of Robbie Ferris and Erick Ocamp won doubles matches for the Cougars. Ocampo, Diaz, Ruiz, Ferris and Will Sanford all won singles matches.
Averett (4-11 overall, 3-2 in conference) will be back in action this Friday in the conference tournament.
