Beamer hopes to redshirt Taylor

Coach Frank Beamer says he hopes to redshirt sophomore quarterback Tyrod Taylor this season, barring injury to Sean Glennon.
Beamer made the announcement during his afternoon news conference leading up to the Hokies’ season opened against East Carolina University.
Glennon is a senior this season. The Hokies used both Glennon and Taylor during the 2007 football season.
Beamer says Cory Holt will be the #2 quarterback going into the ECU game.
Coach also said he was a little worried having more than three dozen players on his travel team roster, who had never played in a college game.
