Danville resident and 2005 South Boston Speedway track champion and Whelen All-American Late Model Series National Champion Peyton Sellers took a break from his Nationwide Series schedule and was scheduled to enter today’s Bailey’s 200. During one of his practice runs, Sellers’ motor in the No. 21 Taco Bell Chevrolet blew up entering Turn 1, forcing the 25-year-old to pack up the car for another weekend.

Averett Baseball Camp
Dates: June 22-25 and July 6-9 (Ages 8-12)..........$100
Camp information: The camp is held at Owen-Fulton Field on Averett’s North Campus. Campers should bring a water bottle, cleats, glove and baseball bat (if desired). Campers should also provide their own lunch. Camp runs from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. each day.
