I would like to express the overall joy I personally felt while in attendance at the Friday, May 16, “Relay for Life” American Cancer Society event at McMichael High School in Mayodan. All the “love” that was “manifested” was simply amazing of all those who participated in this most worthwhile cause. Not to mention how well organized and planned everything had to be due to the facts that everything ran “as smooth as clockwork.”
Everyone who took part in this annual event really seemed to enjoy themselves as well as were taking so much pride in what they were doing, and one could tell from the smiles on their faces. The “Cancer Survivors” especially seemed to be happy, and they should be due to the fact that they’re still here with us and were fortunate enough to be a part in the 2008 Relay For Life. God bless their hearts.
My heart was blessed to see so many people that I haven’t seen in years and be able to talk to them and “reminisce” about the good times we have shared, our high school years and of course, the years that have passed and just how good God has been to us. The whole event was a complete success. One can only hope next year will be as good or better.
Congratulations to all the organizers, team-efforts, volunteers, survivors and to all of those who contributed in any way on a job well done.
