Democrats are the real ‘red’ party

To the editor:
I was reading an article about Democratic congressional candidate Tom Perriello getting a boost from his party with some red to blue campaign. The fact of the matter is if the color were really representative of the party, the Democrats would have to use the color red. This is really quite confusing when the socialists (reds) are deeply involved in the Democratic Party with every nutty organization in the country.
Any group that would make the Founding Fathers roll over in their graves is in the Democratic Party. It is obvious that Perriello gets a good deal more press coverage than U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode, R-5th — who is the better man. Look in the paper or on television and they are always talking about Perriello, just as you see far more about Obama than McCain.
The only news channel that I can get a fair account of both is Fox News. If I want the Obama-nation report, I turn to any other news channel.
