Reidsville police make drug arrest

Reidsville police made a drug arrest after a short foot chase Tuesday afternoon. Police arrested Thomas Albert Blackwell, III, also known as “June Bug,“ 39, of 210 Lytle St., and charged him with possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine. Blackwell had in his possession $750 worth of crack cocaine rocks in a pill bottle. Police made the arrest at the corner of North Franklin Street and West Morehead Street and took Blackwell into custody. Blackwell is being held under a $5,000 secured bond. His court date is set for Oct. 17.
