Reidsville police arrested a local man accused of robbing an elderly woman in her home Saturday afternoon. Gene Hearn, 44, of 1125 Lawsonville Ave. in Reidsville, was arrested without incident two blocks from his home. Before the incident, on Price Street, Hearn tried to rob the Dollar General store on Freeway Drive and the Radio Shack on Way Street, according to Reidsville police. No one was injured.
