Reidsville issue charges at checkpoint

Reidsville police charged 42 people with various violations Friday as part of a checkpoint at Freeway Drive near S. Scales Street, a news release said.
The checkpoint was manned from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Of the charges, three people were charged with DWI.

I’m with you USMCMOM, It may have been just a check point but I’m glad they were there. esmith, Safer because of the seat belt violations written? Well its a law, and I may not agree with some of the laws but they are in place for a reason. It is up to us to abide by the laws or face the consequences. So while you were safe in your home with your family the officers were out in the cold doing the jobs we the citizens are paying them to do. Sounds like a good plan to me! :)

I feel much safer now that people were cited for not wearing their seat belts. What would we do if GOVCO did not look after us?
