Man charged in Stoneville break-in, theft

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest Wednesday in the breaking and entering of a Stoneville home, according to a news release.

Tracey Demarco Witcher, 37, of 59 Jupiter Court in Martinsville, Va., turned himself in and was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods. Bail was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 7.

He is charged with breaking into a home at 2668 Smith Road on Oct. 10.

Missing were several items, including a mower, spray system, toolbox, an ATV, lawn trimmer, chainsaw and a generator, the release said. The items were valued at more than $10,000.
