Officers responded to a call at Price Street and Center Church Road in Eden on Nov. 26 and found Lester, 34, also of Eden, with a gunshot wound to the chest. On Friday, Lester was listed in critical but stable condition at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the hospital said she had no information on Lester being a patient at the hospital.
