Authorities arrested Leslie Mark Roberts, 44, on Friday on two counts of felony possession of Schedule II drugs and failure to pay child support.
The drugs were Vicodin and Flexaril, and the arrest warrant on the non-payment charge was issued in Guilford County, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office said Deputy Leotis Chestnut was at the Annie Penn Hospital on an assignment when he saw Roberts walk by. Chestnut was aware of past orders for arrest on the non-support charge. Chestnut stopped Roberts and asked for identification.
Roberts said he was not carrying ID but insisted his name was something other than Roberts, according to a news release. Roberts then dropped some prescription medication that was wrapped in foil.
Bail on the drug charge was set at $20,000. The bail on the child-support charge is $14,988.
