An area man wanted by police in Virginia was arrested Tuesday in Myrtle Beach, according to a police report.

Buddy Wayne Evans, 49, of Myrtle Beach was charged with loitering drugs when he was arrested near Fourth Ave. North and Chester Street, the report states.

Police later learned that an arrest warrant has been issued for Evans by the Danville (Va.) Police Department on a breaking and entering charge, according to officials at the Myrtle Beach Jail.

The Danville police plan to extradite Evans, police said.

A myrtle beach city judge denied bond late Wednesday afternoon.

He was sent to J. Reuben Long Detention Center (the Horry County jail) to await extradition.
