Police ID industrial accident victim as Danville resident

MARTINSVILLE — Officials say the man killed in an industrial accident Friday was a Danville resident.
Martinsville Police identified the victim as Carl Wayne Turner, 54, of Sugartree Church Road in Danville.
The industrial accident happened at about 10:35 a.m. at 101 East Commonwealth Blvd., according to a news release from the city of Martinsville. The warehouse is owned by Lester Properties.
Scott Coleman, spokesman for the city, said Turner was in the process of taking out a large commercial-grade air conditioner.
