Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office investigates body found in Ringgold

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s office is investigating a body found lying on the road in Ringgold.

Authorities said they discovered Calvin Holland, 55, of Ringgold, laying outside a vehicle behind a building on Homestead Trail after receiving a call shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday about an abandoned vehicle.

Capt. Donald Motley said there were no signs of any foul play.

The body has been transported to Roanoke for an autopsy.
