Officials investigate Friday night fire

DANVILLE — Officials are investigating a Friday night fire at a singlewide mobile home on Old Halifax Road in Danville.

According to a news release, after three engines and a ladder truck arrived just before 10:30 p.m. Friday. Fire and smoke were showing from the home. The blaze was easily put out, leaving moderate damage on the structure.

According to Assistant Chief R. K. Harvey, the mobile home was vacant at the time of the fire and there were multiple fires set throughout the trailer.

The incident is now under investigation.
